Discover OPI

Hello all you lovely people,

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

I was kindly gifted this beautiful OPI set for Christmas, from my boyfriend’s mum, and I’ve been so excited to use it.

I normally get my nails done at a nail salon and have been getting Shellac done for the past couple of months. I’ve decided to start doing my own nails as it’ll be so much cheaper and it saves the hassle of having to go to the nail salon and wait for up to 30 minutes if it’s really busy! My best friend, Amy, has all the equipment needed (UV light, base coat/top coat and colours) and she’s showing me how to do it myself!

This kit is perfect if you’re wanting to do your own nails as it has everything you need. It’s so important to take care of your hands and nails and if you do so your manicure will  last longer and look better! Who wants broken or brittle nails? I don’t.

What the kit includes;

  • OPI Nail Envy Formula (15ml)
  • OPI Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around (15ml)
  • Acetone Free Polish Remover (30ml)
  • Prospa Oil (8.6ml)
  • Prospa Protective Hand, Nail & Cuticle Cream (50ml)

I found this kit on QVC for £32.50, if you bought all the products separately you’d be paying much more than that!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI’ve used Nail Envy before and really recommend it. OPI states that it provides maximum strength with hydrolysed wheat protein and calcium for harder, longer, stronger, natural nails. I found that after using it my nails were stronger and less likely to break or tear! I’ve got pretty weak nails as it is so this really helped with making them stronger. It’s on the OPI website for £19.50 but I found it on Boots for £18.65 or Amazon for £15.90

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI’m so excited to try this colour, it looks sooo beautiful and looks like the perfect creamy nude colour! As spring is slowly approaching I’ll be reaching for my nude nail polishes more often. I found it on the OPI website for £12.50 or on Nail Polish Direct for £7.95

I’ve never tried an acetone free nail polish remover and I’ve read that acetone can be very damaging and drying to your nails and cuticles because of the chemicals and it is a very powerful solvent. It’ll be interesting to see if this remover makes any difference to my weak nails. It’s on the OPI website for £7.50 but it’s currently on sale on Amazon for £6.20!

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetA lot of the time people forget to take care of their cuticles as well, I know I do. This super cute bottle will definitely remind me to use it more often. OPI claims that it is a ultra nourishing and fast absorbing formula which helps to protect, replenish and strengthen. It’s on the OPI website for £17 (14.8ml) or you can get a mini version for £12.00 (8.6ml) and I found on Nail Polish Direct for £9.95 (8.6ml).

Processed with VSCO with a5 presetI am constantly reaching for hand cream because I wash my hands so much and they dry out really easily because of this. It claims to be a multi-tasking high performance cream which moisturises, brightens and protects skin and cuticles while nursing nails. I found it on OPI for £12.00 (50ml) and on Nail Polish Direct for £9.95 (50ml) or on John Lewis for £20.00 (118ml) for a bigger version.

Love,

Cally
